Before explaining how 3D scanning is
possible, it is better we have a preliminary understanding of what is X-ray and
what are its peculiarities. When we look on an object, we are able to see it as
a result of the reflected light rays from that object falling on our eye. But,

components also. One such component is X-ray. It can pass through light objects

like, bone, metals etc. So if you pass X-rays to an object, it will be blocked

rays fall on X-ray film, the harder objects only will be visible in that film.
